'I was born in Montana and raised in a beautiful valley beneath Mt. Haggin, a peak in the Pintler Range. I woke up every day seeing nature and observing the many changes. This has always been the joy of being an artist, to attempt to capture what impressed me as a young person hiking in those Montana hills and valleys.
Living my adult life in Oregon has been a true gift, not only visually but in the opportunities which came about for myself and family. I have been doing art professionally since 1975. Courses in graphic art helped me to use my pen and ink skills to work as staff artist for a prominent advertising business in Portland, Oregon. There really was such a thing as cut with exacto knife, and paste with rubber cement!
In the 1980s, my family and I ventured into the historic world of Oregon City and ran a successful restaurant and gallery combination. It was a wonderful experience to combine a small eating establishment with fine art in the historic Captain Fellows House on the Willamette River.
I also began teaching painting classes through the community education programs. This is something I've loved to do since 1985!
Currently I show through my own studio near Beavercreek, Oregon. I would love to have you visit, just leave your message on my contact page!
